Frequently Asked Question

Lippincott resources such as Lippincott CoursePoint and Lippincott e-books are hosted on "thePoint" by Wolters Kluwer. You reach them either by redeeming an access code on thePoint or by opening a Lippincott link inside your Canvas course.

Option A - Open Lippincott from Canvas (try this first):

1. Sign in to Canvas at https://jerseycollege.instructure.com/login/ldap.

1. Open your course and look for a Lippincott or CoursePoint link in the course navigation menu or inside a module.

1. Click the link. In most cases this signs you in to thePoint automatically and takes you to your resource.

Option B - Redeem an access code on thePoint:

1. Go to thePoint at https://thepoint.lww.com.

1. If you already have a Lippincott account, sign in. If you are new, choose to create an account and follow the prompts.

1. Find the option to redeem or activate an access code (often labeled "Redeem an access code" or "Activate").

1. Enter the access code that came with your textbook or that your instructor provided, then follow the prompts to add the resource to your account.

1. Once redeemed, your resource appears on your "My Content" or course list and is ready to use.

Tips and reminders:

• Your access code comes from your textbook package or your instructor. The Help Desk and Lippincott cannot generate one for you.
• Each access code is usually single-use. Once redeemed, the resource stays in your account.
• Your Lippincott (thePoint) password is separate from your Jersey College password. To reset it, use the "Forgot your password" link on the thePoint sign-in page.
• Use a modern, up-to-date browser (such as Chrome or Edge) and a stable internet connection.
• If a Canvas link does not open the resource, try signing in directly at https://thepoint.lww.com with your Lippincott account.

What the Help Desk can and cannot do:

• We can help with general sign-in issues and your Jersey College account.
• We cannot supply access codes, redeem codes for you, or reset your Lippincott password. For access codes and course details, contact your instructor.
