Frequently Asked Question

Lippincott DocuCare is an electronic health record (EHR) practice tool you use for documentation assignments. At Jersey College, DocuCare works best in Google Chrome, and you usually open it through your Canvas course or a link your instructor provides.

How to open DocuCare:

1. Use Google Chrome. DocuCare can have trouble loading in other browsers, so open Google Chrome first. (If you don't have Chrome, you can install it for free from https://www.google.com/chrome.)
2. Sign in to Canvas at https://jerseycollege.instructure.com/login/ldap, open your course, and click the DocuCare link or assignment - or use the DocuCare link your instructor gave you.
3. If asked, sign in with your Lippincott/DocuCare account, or register using the access code from your instructor or course materials.
4. Complete your documentation activity as assigned.

If DocuCare won't load or you can't access it:

1. Switch to Google Chrome if you were using a different browser - this fixes most DocuCare loading problems.
2. Allow pop-ups for the site, then clear your browser cache and cookies and try again.
3. Make sure you're using the correct link and are signed in to Canvas.
4. If it still won't open, contact your instructor (it may be an enrollment or access-code issue) or the Help Desk.
