Frequently Asked Question

After Examplify is installed, you register it to Jersey College one time, then download each exam ahead of test day.

What you'll need:

• Your Institution ID - which one depends on your exam type (see the list below). Your instructor or exam coordinator tells you which to use.
• For most exams you sign in with your Jersey College email and password (a Microsoft sign-in).
• The exam password for the specific exam, which your instructor gives you (often shortly before the exam).

Jersey College Institution IDs (enter the one for your exam type):

• jerseycollege1 - Jersey College Exams
• jerseycollege - Jersey College School of Nursing
• jerseycollegebenchmark - Jersey College School of Nursing: Benchmark Exams

Register and sign in:

1. Open Examplify and click "Add New Account."
2. Enter the Institution ID for your exam type (from the list above) and click Next.
3. You'll be taken to a Microsoft sign-in screen. Enter your Jersey College email address (firstname.lastname@jerseycollege.edu) and password.
4. Note: Benchmark (CJE) and Summative exams may use different login credentials - follow your instructor's instructions for those, and see "Forgotten password - CJE / Benchmark Examplify."
5. If the ExamSoft home screen appears instead of the sign-in screen, copy this into your browser's address bar and press Enter: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData - clear the data, then reopen Examplify and re-select your Institution ID.
6. Once signed in, you'll see your list of available exams.

Download your exam:

1. Find your exam in the list (for example, Midterm, CJE, etc.).
2. Click Download next to it. Stay connected to the internet and on power while it downloads.
3. When it finishes, the exam shows as ready. You do NOT need to start it yet.

Important - you can download each exam only ONCE:

• Each exam is issued as a single download. Once you download it, Examplify will NOT offer that exam for download again.
• Be sure to download onto the exact laptop you will test on, and don't uninstall Examplify or wipe your laptop afterward.
• If you truly need another download (for example, your laptop failed and you had to reinstall), the Help Desk cannot re-issue it - see your Dean to have another download released.

Tips:

• Download your exam at least a day early on good Wi-Fi. Downloading does not start the exam or the timer.
• You usually don't enter the exam password until you actually start the exam on test day.
