A practice exam (sometimes called a mock exam) lets you make sure Examplify and your laptop both work BEFORE the real exam. Taking one early is the best way to avoid stress and tech problems on test day.

Why this matters:

• It confirms Examplify launches and runs on your specific laptop.
• It lets you upload a file at the end, so you know the whole process works.

How to take a practice exam:

1. Open Examplify and sign in if needed.
2. In your list of exams on the left, look for a practice, mock, or sample exam. Your instructor or coordinator usually releases one. If you don't see it, ask whether one is available.
3. Click Download next to the practice exam, just like a real exam.
4. When it's downloaded, click the exam and choose to start it.
5. If it asks for a password, enter the practice exam password your instructor gave you. Practice exams sometimes have a simple or provided password.
6. Answer the practice questions, or just click through them, then finish and submit the exam.
7. Let it upload your answer file and watch for the green "uploaded" confirmation (see the article on uploading your answer file).

What to check while you're in there:

1. Did Examplify open in full screen and lock down your computer? That's normal and expected.
2. Did the upload finish with a green checkmark?

If any of those failed, you now have time to fix it before the real exam.

Tips:

• Do your practice exam in the same place, with the same Wi-Fi, that you'll use for the real exam if you can.
• Practice exams do not usually count toward your grade, so relax and use it as a rehearsal.
• Restart your laptop before both the practice exam and the real exam for the smoothest experience.
